Board of Directors Meeting
July 21, 2009
Present: Jim Cooper,
President, Chris Brogan- Vice president, Alma McBride-Treasurer , Ray McDermott-Director
and Blaise Simone-Secretary - Lesley Studholme - S.C.M.
Wil Leister and Bill Harding
were also present from the ARC
President Jim called the
meeting to order at 7:07 p.m. at the Health Center of Merritt Island.
READING OF THE MINUTES
The minutes of the meeting
of June 2009 meeting were read by Blaise Simone. Ray made the motion
to accept the minutes as read. Chris seconded and all were in favor.
TREASURER’S REPORT
Alma McBride gave the June
financials . The Treasurer’s report covered the beginning balance,
withdrawls , deposits and the ending balance for the Wachovia account.
Additionally, she reported on the reserve account beginning balance, interest
and ending balance in the Fidelity account. She also gave the final
balance of the 1 C.D. at $17,822.55.
MANAGER’S REPORT
Lesley Studholme submitted
the manager’s report which consists of the tracking of non compliance issues
in Copperfield. There are 3 properties in
foreclosure. All people who have received attorney letters have responded
and are working at complying. 673 Heather Stone did submit an ARA
which was denied. SCM will start the infraction notice process to
have them remove the vegetation.
It was also mentioned that
the truck carrying chlorine is still parking on Abbeyridge and should be
asked to move. It was determined that the address of where the truck
is parking is now at the address of the owner.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
ARC–
Chris Brogan reported that there was 1 ARA which was not approved
but was completed.
ARCC- The
ARCC report was submitted by T. Loshe and is attached and a part of these
minutes. There were 3 submitted for landscape and all were approved.
LANDSCAPE –
Ray McDermott reported on
the front entrance. Ray secured 3 quotes for trimming the palm trees.
The quotes are attached and apart of these minutes.
Ray made a motion to accept
Lelands Tree Service to remove the dead palm and stump and trim trees in
the amount of $420.00. Blaise seconded and all were in favor.
OLD BUSINESS-
Ray Reported that the pressure
washing of the front entrance has been completed. He hired Affordable
Roof Cleaning and Pressure Washing. They haul a trailer with water
tank and pump. For an additional $225.00, they will return to apply
a rust removal solution which deems necessary. The completed amount
is $450.00.
NEW BUSINESS -
EMAIL LIST: Ray McDermott
is the keeper of the email address list for the residents of Copperfield.
After our last newsletter, nine more residents requested they be added
to the address book. In total there are over 50 addresses.
Ray will send a link to S.C.M. with the addresses for backup.
