Board of Directors Monthly Meeting Minutes

April 20, 2021 - 7:00 PM

ZOOM Meeting

Sherrill Stramara called the meeting to order at 7:08 p.m.

Present:   Sherrill Stramara, Kelly Stanton and AJ Nick were present.  Katie Anderson and Mary Ann Sonnenberg were absent.  Also in attendance:  2 homeowners indicated by the ZOOM App.

Copperfield POA Mission Statement:  Manage the operations of the Association to effectively maintain the community in order to preserve property values and community spirit.

AJ Nick made a motion to approve the February 16, 2021 meeting minutes with discussed changes.  Kelly Stanton seconded the motion and the motion was passed unanimously by voice vote.

Landscape Report: Kelly stated that the grass at the entrance was starting to die, so she contacted Extreme.  They ran through the zones, and thought it was an issue with the pump.  Kelly believes that the grass is starting to look better.

Old Business:

  • MARTA- Kelly and Sherrill will discuss this in detail and we will address this at the next meeting.
  • Proposed Letter to the Community- This was tabled, as we have not received the draft to review.
  • Lawn Maintenance Bid- Sherrill stated that if we are going to go out for bid, we need to get 3 quotes for comparison.  She asked the Board if they are interested in getting more quotes, or if we are satisfied with our current company. 

New Business:

  • Remove Dead Palms in Center Island- We need to remove the dead palms in the center entrance island.
  • New Landscape for Center Island- Sherrill suggested the Board consider re-landscaping the center entrance island.

Kelly Stanton made a motion to get quotes from Extreme Grounds, Blue Bell Landscaping, Marlowe Landscaping and Plantation for a quote to remove and replace the dead palms and re-landscape the entrance island.  AJ Nick seconded the motion, and the motion was passed unanimously by voice vote.

  • Irrigation Issues (Pressure Issues and Kelly’s investigation of the center island zones)- This was covered under the landscape report.
  • Addition Money Market Account Fee- Kelly Stanton stated that the CD that we had matured and we have been drawing a monthly fee since. 

Kelly Stanton made a motion to move the Money Markey funds to a 24- month certificate at .6%.  AJ Nick seconded the motion, and the motion was passed unanimously by voice vote.

Adjournment: Kelly Stanton made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:32 p.m.  AJ Nick seconded the motion, and the motion was passed unanimously by voice vote.
